1. We all are human and want to be respected. Being respectful is universal. Even if you say something wrong, people can tell out of spite or out of not knowing.
2.If you work with or are friends with someone of a different culture, do research so you know how their culture works. That way you can try to avoid things that may come across offensive to them.
3. Know that your culture is not the only way, so when coming in contact with someone of a different culture make sure not to judge or be offended by their differences we are all entitled to our own culture.
I think it is important to always look at things from others perspectives that are not our own.
Hailey- I agree that everyone should be respectful of others wether you agree, disagree, understand or not where someones views come from. I have tried to become more aware of cultural communication differences and I will respectfully ask people "can you explain that to me so I can understand better". Misunderstandings come from ignorance, so I would rather ask than not know.
