Jobs/Roles in the ECE Community: National/Federal Level

Hope you all are having a good week! I have been searching for three national organizations that appeal to me and this is what I have found:

1. Head Start-

I choose this organization because it is right on point with my dream of making quality care affordable. Unforgettably  it stills leaves out the upper lower class / lower middle class.  But it is a great organization that I would love to be apart of!!

Here is the link so you can learn more:

A Job I would love to do in this organization:

Executive Director - Skills needed:

- Masters Degree (will have it)
-10 years experience in Head Start (need to find a way to get it)

2.The Administration for Children & Families (ACF) -

Check them out here:

http://www.acf.hhs.gov/

I choose the ACF because it promotes the economic and social well being of children. This lines up with my goal because it helps people no matter their social class.

It was hard to find information regarding jobs in this organization.

3. NAEYC-  I choose this organization because everything they stand for is amazing! The whole concept of this organization centers on quality care.

Just in case you want to check them out:

A job in this organization I would kill to have:

Accreditation Coordinator- (Skills needed)

-BA or higher  in Early Childhood Education/Child Development (got it)
-3-5 years experience in the field of early childhood education (check)
-Live in Washington, DC.(Maybe one day.)

  1. Hailey, I enjoyed your post. I am sure you will find a good ninch to share your skills with. What I know about the ICF career opptunities are regional and national trIner, who travel in different areas to provides to prvide technical assistance to programs, They may also hire the program monitors, this is a team who completes performance reviews to programs to insure compliance of performance standards of Migrant,Early Head Start and Head Start Programs.

I enjoyed your post and I know you will achieve any endeavor you reach out for. Keep up the great work.

    Yours for Children,

  2. I appreciate how you wrote the needs of the job then evaluated yourself with it. Sometimes I find that as I look at positions I truly feel I couldn't do it. But looking at your blog, things can be in reach. Thanks for the motivation.
