Jobs/Roles in the ECE Community: Internationally

Hey everyone! I hope this post finds you doing well! This week we were asked to look at international organizations that interested us. I was particularly  excited to look in to this because I would love to live somewhere else for awhile and learn a new culture.

Here are the three I found to be right up my alley! I hope you enjoy them as well!

1. International Child Care-

Their Mission-

"International Child Care is a Christian health development organization. ICC is working to change the conditions of poverty that impact health and well-being."(ICC,2011)

Why I chose this organization- They have the same vision as I do of bring high quality child care to all children, they just have a wider view and include health care. I like that.

Jobs-

This is more of a mission based organization then one with job opportunities. I would however lover to be a member of a Mission Education Encounter Team (MEET). Most of the long term jobs are for medical professionals but I would love to be a part of the MEET team and learn more about who they are.

2. UNICEF - Specifically their work in Basic Education and Gender Equality

Their Mission-

"At UNICEF we work to make that world a reality. We are committed to ensuring that all children – regardless of gender, ethnicity, socioeconomic background or circumstances – realize their right to a quality education." (UNICEF,2012)

Why I am interested in this part of UNICEF- Again it is right up my alley with its belief system. The quote I pulled from the sight is very similar to my own personal goals.
